RAF Lakenheath
Viewing Area, RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk. 9th September
The visit was primarily to have my new Uniden Scanner programmed so I could use it at the forthcoming Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow. However the bloke in the Burger van turned out to be unreliable as he had moister in the equipment and was unable to do the programming. So I stayed for an hour of or so I took some images of the F35’s landing and taking off. The viewing area faces South, so the aircraft coming into land were almost black silhouettes in the bright sunlight.
