Diving Gannets

From Bridlington to Filey, Yorkshire Coast 10th August 2026
This was a photographic boat trip organised by Steve Race of Yorkshire Coastal Photography. Leaving Bridlington around 7:30am, we rounded Flamborough head and cruised unto Bempton Cliffs. The swell was severe and it was borderline that the event went ahead. So all photography done one handed as I was holding tight with the other. I took two cameras with me so I didn’t have to change lens out in the wind and spray. The Canon R5 with the 100-500mm and my Fuji X-H2s with the 16-55mm (24-85 FF equiv). Due to how close the gannets were diving most of these shots were taken on the Fuji.
