RHS Hyde Hall Glow
December 5th, RHS Hyde Hall, Essex
RHS Hyde Hall have an annual Christmas lights display that they call Glow. I went last year with Jane and we thought it a great evening so went again this year. The walk takes you around the key areas of the garden and thus year introduced a one way route, going up the hill initially to the Hall and Pond, and then winding your way back around the garden and down the hill side. There were a couple of points to grab a hot drink and a snack. This year during the Autumn they have invested in a new wide gravel path that avoids the twisty parts through some of the gardens. It is more accessible and a quicker easier walk, meaning we went around the garden much quicker than lastyear. It rained for most of the visit as can be seen in some of the pictues below. My photography was limited to my small X100vi which fits in my coat pocket. The challenge was to keep the rain of the lens, I lost a few shots where I had not cleaned the lens before taking a picture, but 90% were OK.
