Autumn Walk in Box Wood
October 21st ,Great Ashby, Stevenage
A lot of leaves have fallen in Stevenage and I thought it time to revisit my local woods. I went for a two hour walk into Box Wood. Although there were a carpet of all Autumnal coloured leaves on the ground many of the trees were only just starting to get some Colour.
I was primarily looking again for fungi as well as the Autumn Colour, however, these were few and far between. I have yet to see the variety in these woods that were there last year. The images that I took were taken with the white balance set to cloudy, which gives all of the pictures a warmer look to them bringing out the oranges and the yellows.
A further visit is merited again to look for interesting fungi, and also to capture some of the woods in the Autumn colour before a storm comes through and rips all of the leaves from the trees.
