Letchworth Model Society Show
October 18th, Icknield Centre, Letchworth Garden City
The Letchworth model show is an annual event which hosts a number of the regions scale model clubs. It also attracts some vendors and associated hobbies. I last attended about six or seven years ago and it now has a new venue. My reason for going along was an interest in looking at the variety of scale models on display, and as always I took my small camera with me in case there was some interesting shots
The show was set out in one long haul with windows on both sides and the exhibitions and traders lining the sides of the hall. They spent where ever you walked. There was an abundance of light although in many cases this was not ideal. I arrived about midday and spent probably an hour looking around the show. I met a few people that I knew and stopped for a chat and then visited the cafeteria in the entrance of the hall. This was run by the local church, and a cup of coffee and a bacon roll for £3 was very welcome.
I took a number of shots as I went round the show one or two of the close-up ones have come out quite nicely. An interesting event to attend, not the typical event that I go to, but it’ll be worth going back next year.
