Fast Climb Friday

Friday mornings have become known as “Fast Climb Fridays” due to the near vertical climb the aircraft do shortly after wheels up. I arrived at the viewing area about 6:45 am and the first of 10 F35a’s took off around 8:10am. Unfortunately they took of towards the West, away from where I was, so I saw the fast climbs, but the aircraft were too small to photograph. As the sun was out, although early, there was a strong heat haze across the airfield made worse by the jet wash from all the aircraft taxiing into position.
