RSPB Fowlmere
2nd December, RSPB Fowlmere
As is usual when I visit an RSPB site, the birds are nowhere to be seen. I am sure it was the time of day, just after midday, as later in the day their Facebook page showed lots of sightings near the end of the afternoon. I walked around the site, about 1 1/2 miles, stopping in the Reedbed hide for around 40 minutes where the following images of the Kestrel were taken. The distance was huge these shots are at 1050mm and very very heavily cropped. Processed initially in DXO PureRaw and then in Lightroom.
The last image shows the picture before cropping.
