Autumn Spruce
November 22nd, Stevenage
Spruce has come to visit for a few days while his humans are in the Yorkshire dales. This post will simply be pictures taken each day when we have gone for a walk.
Friday 22nd November
We have the last of the Autumn colour and despite being at mid day there was still ice on the ground. Earlier in the Autumn I had been looking out for Fungi, today they had all gone except one small growth on a tree stump.
Saturday 23rd November
A wet and windy day delayed our walk until 2pm when the rain halted for a while. This time we headed in the other direction to ClayPit Springs woods. This should be a 30 minute walk, but with pictures and finding a few fungi we were out for an hour and returned just as the rain started up again.
Sunday 24th November
Yet another Windy day, overcast with Rain on and off during the day. We didn’t get out for our Walk in the Woods until around 2:45pm, also we only had 1 1/2 hours until it would be dark, and 20 minutes into the walk the rain came back. This meant the walk was restricted to a circle of Great Ashny Park, keeping to the tarmac paths unless we were in the woods. Only a few pictures from today.
